Antique collectors might recognize this.  If you like it, but do not know about these things, do a quick internet search.  These sell from 250.00 to 800.00, as far as I can tell by looking just before listing this one.
I would guess the value of this one would not go down, unless you drop it on your driveway.  So, it should be a good investment, and one you can use for a practical purpose on holidays.
Handed down through family.  Platter is good, and solid, and 138 years old!!!
It is 18" long and 13" wide, good and deep for things like a turkey.
Local pick-up is preferred.  If you like it, and really must have it shipped, I will have to charge for packaging and insurance ON TOP of the shipping fee.  I DO NOT want to toss a 138 year old, expensive, fragile platter in a box and trust it to the type of handling I have witnessed.  Those guys could ruin a brick wrapped in a mattress.
