    Description

    An older (we believe from the 1940's or earlier) Keen Kutter pocketknife.  It is 3 7/8 inches long with the blades closed.  Both blades are stamped E.C. Simmons, ST. LOUIS MO, KEEN KUTTER.  The main blade is also stamped K2048 on the back.  Stampings have wear as shown in the photos.  The emblem shield is marked KEEN KUTTER as well.  Both blades have strong spring action opening and closing.  Medium brown jigged bone handles are very nice looking.  We have looked them over under high magnification and find one dark 1/8 inch long hairline (see 3rd photo).  Knife is from a friends collection who passed several years ago.  He only collected trapper patterns and found it was quite rare to find them in collectible condition.
