    Collecting Case knives - Identification and Price Guide
    . I have been collecting, buying, and selling CASE and other brands of vintage and modern pocket knives since 1973.
    I am offering some fine collectible pocket knives for sale. See my other auction listings for more collectible knives.
    This is a vintage CASE 5265 SAB “Folding Hunter” pocket knife.
    The tang stamp is CASE XX 1940-1964.
    The knife is 5-1/4” closed with brass liners and pinned oval CASE shield.
    The blade steel is CV (carbon) steel.
    The blades each have strong snap.
    Each blade is tight with no side to side wobble.
    The handles are genuine stag with great color and texture.
    Each handle has a tight stress line under the center pin.
    A used knife – carried and very lightly sharpened.
    The blades are each full with most of the original factory finish and show light scratches, gray patina, and stains.
