St Collette of Corbie was a 14-15th century French nun who reformed the Poor Clares and opened many new convents in France which are branches of the Poor Clares called the Collettines. She was a mystic and miracle worker, even raising several people from the dead.  Her parents had been childless and prayed to St Nicholas for a child, and her mother had Collette at age 60.  They named their little girl Nicolette which was shortened to Collette. St Collette is the patron saint of couples desiring to have children, expectant mothers and sick children especially infants.
