Nona's Bears Mohair One Of A Kind “Penny Marie Pearson & Patty” 19” Darling!💛. Condition is Preowned. This is a beautifully crafted Bear. 19 inch fully jointed mohair bear with German glass eyes. Her name is Penny Marie Pearson. She is wearing an adorable sunflower and lace checkered dress, black Mary Jane shoes, and a straw hat adorned with a sunflower🌻. She is holding “Patty” a belled black and white cow. A Collector’s Bear that originally sold for 5.95. This Bear is one of a kind and is not sold in any stores. This Bear is free from stains and tears. She is in great condition.
Nona's Bears started designing and making bears in 1984 and continued until the late 1990's.
Nona Bears were made of new mohair and antique wool--sometimes cut from old wool coats. The eyes were antique shoe buttons and set close together in her signature style. The bears were usually dressed in vintage clothes and named after family members--Nona was an avid genealogist. However, she also left some unclothed. The later bears were fully jointed and stuffed tight--very well made!
This cute girl bear with attitude is a must for bear collectors!
