Challenge Cutlery 3-Blade Pocket Knife with bone handlesThis auction is for the vintage Challenge Cutlery, 3 blade pocket knife with bone handles that is shown. When closed this knife measures just under 4 inches long and the large blade measures approximately 2 3/4 inches long, the medium blade is approximately 2 ¼, and the pointed blade is approximately 2 1/8. This is an older knife and it shows quite a bit of wear but overall, it is still in good condition. Also, this knife still has good snap in all three blades.

The Challenge Cutlery Co of Bridgeport, Connecticut made
pocket knives
from around 1891 to 1928. Originally a trademark of a company from Sheffield, it was purchased by Frederick Weibusch & Co in New York (died 1893). Soon after the company adopted the trademark. Challenge made wonderful quality pocket knives known for its dimpled jigged bone handles. The company closed in 1928 with the death of its owner, Charles Weibusch. Eventually, the assets of the company would be purchased by George Schrade and the eventually became the Schrade Cutlery Company.
Not a knife collector and did not attempt to clean up and/or cause problems due to improper technique.
