. I have been collecting, buying, and selling CASE and other brands of vintage and modern pocket knives since 1973.

CASE XX USA 5172 “Bulldog”. This is the “last model”, made from 1966-1970.
CASE XX 5172 on front tang, HAND MADE IN USA on back tang.
5-1/4” closed, brass liners with old style pinned CASE shield.
The blade has super strong snap.
The blade is tight with no side to side wobble.
Nice genuine Sambar stag handles, great color and texture.
Similar coloring of stag handles back and front.
The handles have no cracks or chips.
The front handle has a “grain line” (not a crack) at the handle pin near the blade-end bolster.
A used knife – carried and very lightly sharpened.
The blade is full and has the original finish and factory edge with light sharpening marks, patina, stains.
Original CASE XX BULLDOG etch.
Includes the original brown BULLDOG box. The box is all intact but has scratches and dings to the exterior.
