    Description

Hi, I am Steve Pfeiffer, author of the book
Collecting Case knives - Identification and Price Guide
. I have been collecting, buying, and selling CASE and other brands of vintage and modern pocket knives since 1973.
I am offering some fine collectible pocket knives for sale. See my other auction listings for more collectible knives.
Case XX USA 2 dot 1978 stamp.
Pattern # 3299 ½ “Jumbo Jack” or “Rail Splitter” at 4-1/8” closed.
Collectors refer to this pattern as the “Rail Splitter” since it is a hefty pattern that fits the hand well.
Brass liners and nickel silver pins.
The blade steel is CV (carbon) steel.
Both blades have strong snap with half stops. Both are tight no wobble.
    Yellow Delrin handles.
The handles have no cracks or chips.
The back handle has some minor surface abrasion.
The rear bolster has some deep tarnish.
The blades are mint – never used or sharpened. Original factory blade finish and edge.
Calling the knife “near mint” due to the minor back handle/bolster issues as noted above.
This pattern in yellow was discontinued as a standard catalog knife in 1978, so this knife is from the last year made.
The knife will be shipped wrapped in a new CASE anti-tarnish wrapper and in a recent Case box.

Sales to USA Locations Only - Buyer must be at least 18 years of age.
Some states have started requiring eBay to collect sales tax on items going to these states. eBay has a list of those states that have started collecting sales tax in 2019 on online purchases. This is nothing I have control over and the sales tax is automatically added to your total by eBay if you reside in one of these states.
