Hi, I am Steve Pfeiffer, author of the bookCollecting Case knives - Identification and Price Guide
. I have been collecting, buying, and selling CASE and other brands of vintage and modern pocket knives since 1973.
I am offering some fine collectible pocket knives for sale. See my other auction listings for more collectible knives.
This is a hard to find pattern – the Case Fly Fishing Knife, 4” closed.
Very few of these were produced as it was Case’s most expensive pocket knife during the years that it was made. the pattern was discontinued prior to 1975.
This knife has the CASE XX STAINLESS USA tang stamp on each of the two large blades - the main clip blade and the file blade.
1965-1969 production.
All four blades have strong snap, no wobble.
The smooth stainless steel handles have rub marks and handling scratches.
A used knife - carried and lightly sharpened.
Main clip blade – full blade, light scratches, lightly sharpened.
Scissors – function properly, some stains and patina.
Pick blade – full with sharp tip, some tarnish.
File blade – has some tarnish, patina.
A fine and rare old knife, great knife to clean up!
