Hi, I am Steve Pfeiffer, author of the bookCollecting Case knives - Identification and Price Guide
. I have been collecting, buying, and selling CASE and other brands of vintage and modern pocket knives since 1973.
I am offering some fine collectible pocket knives for sale. See my other auction listings for more collectible knives.
CASE XX USA 1965-1969 stamp.
Pattern # 6231 1/2 “Heavy Jack” knife, 3-3/4” closed.
Brass liners with pinned oval CASE shield.
The blade steel is CV (carbon) steel.
Both blades have strong snap with half stops, no wobble.
Chestnut red bone handles with amazing color.
The handles have no cracks or chips.
A mint knife - never sharpened, carried, or cleaned, original blade finish and edges.
One tiny carbon speck on one backspring.
Included is a scarce vintage Case “pumpkin” box that originally held six of the 6318 Sh Sp SSP pattern. Case used this style of box from the 1950’s through the mid-1980’s.
Also included is an original Case wrapper with PROPER CARE OF YOUR CASE POCKET KNIFE instructions.
The wrapper is in excellent condition, normal handling wear.
Case discontinued the use of these printed wrappers in the early 1980’s.
