. I have been collecting, buying, and selling CASE and other brands of vintage and modern pocket knives since 1973.

CASE XX STAINLESS stamp, 1940-1964.
Pattern # 6296 X SS at 4-1/4” closed.
Hard to find “citrus” or “melon tester” pattern used by fruit growers and produce vendors.
Nickel silver liners and pins.
Stainless steel blades.
The large blade has strong snap both ways, very slight side to side wobble.
The pen blade has strong snap, no wobble.
Chestnut bone handles have minor pocket wear.
Each handle has a very fine tight crack under the center pin (see photos).
Used, carried, and sharpened.
Each blade shows minor sharpening loss, blades have been cleaned some.
