Vintage Art Deco by Mido Platinum, 18K Yellow Gold & 3.5ct tw Single-cut Diamond Pendant Watch with Charm, c. 1920-1930s
A beautiful and unusual functional adornment from an Art Deco Period
An 18K yellow gold wheat style braided chain suspends on one, longer end a ball watch and on the other, shorter end, a petite sphere charm
The ball watch is entirely encrusted with single-cut diamonds has small white dial with black numerals signed: "Mido" and "Switzerland"
The ball sphere is also entirely encrusted with single-cut diamonds and decorated with a small flower cut out
The total diamond count (give or take a few) is two hundred and nine (209) with an estimated weight of 3.50ct-3.75ct
Diamonds are of fine quality, G-H-I color and VS-SI clarity, all facing white and eye clean and very lively and sparkly
Chain is fitted with a bail at the top which could have been added later
Watch has a mechanical hand winding movement which can be accessed via several tiny screws around the rim of the watch (shown in second to last photo)
There are no hallmarks but all parts were acid tested and confirmed platinum on the watch and sphere and 18K on the chain

Condition:
Watch is running but for optimum timekeeping it is best for have it serviced by your watchmaker. The crystal has several chips and scratches which are not very noticeable. Some wear on the dial. One area on the chain (shown is last photo) with wear but its hardly noticeable in real life
