ANTIQUE PULL-RING CLASP KNIFE (FRANCE)

Description

This is a medium-sized version of the classic French clasp knife with external back spring and ring-pull lock release. Carbon steel blade, dark wood one-piece handle.
Blade stamped “Gibert Collonge” with a stag’s head. I cannot find anything on this maker.
I would guess the dates to the late 1800s or first half of the 1900s.
In very good condition. Blade has been used, sharpened but not reshaped much. Handle and spring are intact. Locks open securely.
