Pictured and offered for sale is a most interesting and well made British Gardening Knife made by and stamped,  " IXL  GEORGE  WOSTENHOLM  SHEFFIELD  ENGLAND " ,  circa  1895.   Noteworthy to mention, during this time period many British grand homes, estates, were known for there large and beautiful grounds, gardens.  This  knife is a
    Excellent
example of  a British Gardeners pocket knife, made in the highest of quality and workmanship.
NOTEWORTHY :  When first held in hand, the holder cannot help to notice the heavy weight, yet sleek in design for control.  Handles are made of the finest and most dense African hardwood, having very thick and heavy brass liners adding to its weight.
CONDITION :  Knife has no defects.  blade spring snap is very strong, loud, both opening and closing.   The carbon steel cutting blade I believe remains 99.9 % of its original size.  Showing signs of MINOR use on blade edge and sidewall.   Knife blade storage cavity is
    pretty
, clean, rust and corrosion free.
