    Description

Hi, I am Steve Pfeiffer, author of the book
Collecting Case knives - Identification and Price Guide
. I have been collecting, buying, and selling CASE and other brands of vintage and modern pocket knives since 1973.
I am offering some fine collectible pocket knives for sale. See my other auction listings for more collectible knives.
A KASTOR & BROS WARRANTED GERMANY is the tang stamp on all blades.
Kastor started business in 1876 in New York and the Kastor trademarks were eventually owned by Camillus Cutlery.
This knife most likely dates from 1897 to the early 1930’s.
Very nice “Bartender’s Knife” pattern, 3-1/4” closed.
This was a “premium” giveaway or gift knife made by Kastor for the John S. Swift Company, a printing company.
    All blades have strong snap.
The spear blade, foil cutter, and corkscrew are each tight no wobble.
The pen blade has very slight side to side wobble.
The blades are each full, with most of the original factory finish, factory edges.
Blades have some patina, light scratches, tiny specks.
    Nice ornate solid metal handles.
The front handle has not one but two “Stanhope” viewing lenses.
One lens shows a portrait – evidently the John S Swift company founder.  The other lens shows the company name and locations.
    Both lenses have clear images.
Includes the original unmarked leather pouch – a few stitches are open at the bottom edge and minor wear near the bottom on front.

The knife shown in the photos is the exact knife that you will receive.
All knives will be shipped promptly to you in a sturdy corrugated box.
Sales to USA Locations Only - Buyer must be at least 18 years of age.
Some states have started requiring eBay to collect sales tax on items going to these states. eBay has a list of those states that have started collecting sales tax in 2019 on online purchases. This is nothing I have control over and the sales tax is automatically added to your total by eBay if you reside in one of these states.
See my other listings for more collectible knives.
